Use these to clean your laundry!

  • Why it matters: Laundry detergent comes in plastic containers which get throw away at the end of their use and end up contaminating our environment. These cut down on plastic waste and are simple to use.

Dish Brush

This dish brush is made of bamboo and agave plant fiber bristles

  • Once worn out, the bamboo and agave parts can be composted or buried in the garden, the silver metal parts can be recycled

  • Why it matters: Plastic bristle brushes shed tiny pieces of plastic called micro plastics. Unfortunately these tiny plastic pieces are not filtered out fully by sewage treatment. So when you hear about the "Great Pacific Garbage Patch" the majority of this garbage patch in the Pacific Ocean is actually tiny pieces of plastic that aren't even visible to the human eye.

Dish Soap

  • How to keep your cloth clean:

    Squeeze out excess moisture after use. To preserve shape, do not wring.

    Place in the top rack of the dishwasher or in the washing machine at least once a week.

    Sterilize in boiling water for 1-2 minutes.

    Microwave damp for 30 seconds.

    Air dry. Leave flat, drape over faucet or dish rack.

Compostable Sponges

  • Why it matters: Normal sponges are made from polyester and nylon which are both plastics and not recyclable at their end of life. Small pieces fall off on almost every wash, washing straight down our drains and into our water systems. These micro-plastics are ending up in our oceans and in our water systems, being digested by marine life as well as by our friends and family.

    These natural sponges are made from cellulose, are plastic free and are 100% biodegradable. Plus, they will last longer than your normal plastic kitchen sponges. So it's a win win for you and the environment.

  • At end of life: If you want to speed up the breaking down of the sponge, simply bury it underground or put it in your home compost. If you collects food waste for a composting service, you can also put the sponge in the food waste bin

Reusable Towel

These generous sized 18x22 herringbone kitchen towels are soft, absorbent, and flexible 100% cotton towels. Perfect cleaning towels. Very absorbent, extremely low lint.

Herringbone weave has a little texture for added cleaning power but still gentle enough to use for most applications.
